Connect Tag Manager. We’ll do the fiddly bit.
Five steps, one coffee
Add your website
Type your address. We load your homepage and list what we find: Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, Hotjar and other trackers, your Tag Manager container, and any cookie banner you already use.
Connect Google Tag Manager
Sign in with Google and choose your container. We ask for permission to edit, version and publish containers, and nothing else. The access lasts about an hour, sits in an encrypted cookie in your browser and is never saved on our servers.
Review every change
We list each tag and what it needs. Google’s own tags read Consent Mode by themselves, so they’re left alone. Tags that fire regardless of consent get a suggested category, which you can change. Another consent tool’s tags are paused, not deleted.
Publish
We add the Cookie Copilot Consent tag on the Consent Initialization trigger, so it runs before anything else, then publish a new container version. It’s an ordinary Tag Manager version: you can see exactly what changed, and roll back from Tag Manager if you need to.
Check it’s live
We look at your site again to confirm the banner is loading. From then on, every visitor’s choice is recorded in your dashboard.
No Tag Manager? One line does it.
Paste this at the top of your site’s head, before any other scripts. Your dashboard gives you the line with your own site ID.

Good questions
Will this break my existing tags?
Do you keep access to my Google account?
Can I undo it?
What about tracking code that isn’t in Tag Manager?
