The Cookiebot alternative that doesn’t charge by the page.

Cookiebot prices each website by how many pages its scanner finds. Cookie Copilot prices by traffic, in pounds, with sites bundled into one plan. Your existing Cookiebot script tags keep working when you switch.

Why people leave Cookiebot

The price follows your page count

Cookiebot sets your tier from the highest number of pages its scanner has ever counted on your site, and moves you up a tier at the end of the billing cycle. A blog or shop that grows can find its bill has doubled.

Small sites pay the Medium price

The Small tier (up to 350 pages) needs at least 4 websites. With 1 to 3 sites of more than 50 pages each, you pay the Medium price: £25 a month per website.

Every subdomain is another website

shop.example.co.uk and blog.example.co.uk are billed as separate domains, each at the full per-domain price.

Prices went up in 2025

Several reviewers reported Cookiebot’s base prices roughly doubled in August 2025, when the 4-website minimum on the Small tier also appeared.

Where Cookiebot is ahead

We’d rather tell you now. If you need these today, Cookiebot may suit you better.

  • A cookie scanner that lists every cookie on your site, and a cookie declaration for your policy page. Ours is on the way.
  • IAB TCF and Google CMP certification, which you need if your site shows AdSense, Ad Manager or AdMob ads.
  • Banners in over 40 languages on paid plans.
  • Showing different banners in different countries.

How to switch

  1. Add your site

Sign up and enter your address. We spot Cookiebot and list the trackers on your homepage.

  2. Swap the banner

Through Tag Manager, we pause the Cookiebot CMP tag and add ours, and you review the changes before publishing. Without Tag Manager, replace Cookiebot’s uc.js script tag with our one line.

  3. Leave your tagged scripts alone

Scripts marked with data-cookieconsent="statistics" or "marketing" keep working. We use the same category names.

  4. Tidy up

Remove the Cookiebot WordPress plugin if you have one, and the cookie declaration script (cd.js) from your cookie policy page. Replace it with a short list of the cookies you use.

  5. Cancel Cookiebot

Once our banner is live, download your Cookiebot consent records, then cancel your subscription.

We spot Cookiebot when you add your site.

Switching questions

Will my visitors see the banner again?
Yes, once. Consent given to Cookiebot is stored in Cookiebot’s own cookie, so we can’t read it. Each visitor chooses again on their next visit, and that choice is recorded in your dashboard.
What happens to my Cookiebot consent records?
Download them from Cookiebot before you cancel and keep them alongside ours. Cookiebot keeps records for up to 12 months.
Is Cookie Copilot a Google-certified CMP?
Not yet. You don’t need certification to use Google Consent Mode with GA4 or Google Ads; your banner just has to send the signals, which ours does. Certification only matters if your site shows AdSense, Ad Manager or AdMob ads.
Do you have a free plan like Cookiebot’s?
Yes. Free covers one website with up to 10,000 pageviews a month, however many pages it has.
